Finance Questions

Weekly fees cover accommodation, meals, snacks, drinks, activities, facilities, and local excursions. Some additional services, such as dental or chiropody, may incur extra charges.

Fees can be covered by the local authority, NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding, self-funding, or a combination. We guide families through all options.

Our team works with residents and families to explore financial options or alternative arrangements to ensure continued care.

All fees are terminated from the date of death. Accommodation charges may apply for up to ten days while the room is cleared of personal belongings.

If the local authority contribution doesn’t cover the full cost of care, a third party, such as a family member, may pay the difference.

Fees are based on an individual’s income and assets, following Scottish Government guidance to ensure fair contributions. Assistance may be available if income or assets fall below the set thresholds.

Fees are reviewed annually and any changes are communicated at least four weeks in advance. For more information, the team can provide guidance.
